Last minute Halloween weekend plans

Halloween is this weekend, and you might have found yourself deferring making plans for it until you just realized that it's no longer in a couple of weeks, rather, it is indeed THIS weekend. Worry not my friend as I present to you a number of various options to consider making as your last minute Halloween weekend plan depending on your preference:

1. Costume dressing weekend:

If you've got your Halloween outfit sorted, I would recommend going for Serial Killers Halloween at Cirque Le Soir, Fairmont Hotel, Dubai. The themed party will take place on both Thursday October 30, and Friday October 31; and most importantly, entrance is free! Cirque Le Soir already feels like a Halloween party on normal nights, but to make this weekend special, the venue will be setup as a scary crime scene with the most terrifying serial killers hunting for victims. Cirque is warning that they are pushing the limits with this event, and that things will definitely get a little messy. Best costume will win a table at Cirque for another night.

Arrive early to avoid disappointment, otherwise, it is definitely worth reserving a table in advance.

Another dress up option would be The Witching Hour at The ACT Dubai, Shangri La Hotel taking place on Thursday October 30th. The venue is offering a festive dinner of marvelous Peruvian dishes coupled with a decadent display of horror acts. Though entrance is also free, table reservation is also very recommended so you can enjoy the show more comfortably!

2. Headline acts weekend:

If you are more inclined to dancing the night away on the sounds and beats of an international headliner, then surely, Sensation Dubai is one of the hottest events taking place in the UAE this weekend. The event will headline Roger Sanchez and Martin Garrix, as well as Mr. White, Hard Rock Sofa, AN21 & Max Vangeli. The event will be held at Meydan on Friday October 31. It seems that at this point, you will have no luck with Silver and Gold admission tickets, but it looks like the Regular Admission tickets are still available, and are being sold at AED 395 via www.Platinumlist.net. You can also check the event's Facebook page for ticket holders who, for whatever reason, are looking for last minute buyers. This event is estimated to have around 15,000 visitors, so it is surely the place to be if house music is your thing, and you don't mind being dressed in full white (top to bottom).

On a smaller level, Roberto Cavalli will be hosting Halloween Night's "Fashion Massacre" at Cavalli Club Dubai. The event will feature Eva Simmons who is more known for her track "This is Love" that she recorded alongside Will.I.Am.

Cavalli doesn't specify a best-costume prize, but does mention that the better your outfit is, the more interesting your experience will be. The damage on this one is quite substantial as ladies will have to pay AED 650, while gents will have to pay AED 750 for entrance. This will include an open bar, so do arrive early to make the most out of it if you do decide to go to this one. The price tag is quite high to be honest, but I guess you can safely bet that it will repel any weirdos!

3. Theatrical experience weekend:

If you prefer something different this year, something that is perhaps toned down a little bit and doesn't involve the hassle of pushing through the club heads, then Disney's Beauty and the Beast at du Forum Yas Island, Abu Dhabi might be the perfect choice for you.

The show is an international award-winning original Broadway musical production based on the 1991 Disney film Beauty and the Beast.

"Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a prince who is transformed into a hideous beast as punishment for his cruel and selfish ways, and an adventurous young woman named Belle whom he imprisons in his castle. In order to become human again, the Beast must earn Belle's love before it's too late. Seven new songs were written for the stage musical. Beauty ran on Broadway for 5,461 performances between 1994 and 2007, becoming Broadway's eighth longest-running production in history. The musical has grossed more than $1.4 billion worldwide and played in thirteen countries and 115 cities. It has also become a popular choice for high school productions.". Source: Wikipedia

The show will start running in Abu Dhabi from October 30 until November 8. Tickets are still available for the shows this weekend, and are being sold at a range of prices starting from AED 150 (Bronze) to AED 750 (Diamond). If you hold a valid Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Gold Ticket, you will be entitled for a 20% discount. Here's a little video snippet about the show to better understand what to expect:

Have a great weekend, and let me know what you end up doing, and how your experience was!
