#ArtDubai, 8th Edition

Art Dubai, the leading international art fair in the Middle East and South Asia, was inaugurated on March 19, 2014. Taking place at Madinat Jumeirah until March 22, 2014, this year's edition of Art Dubai builds on its reputation as a fair of discovery and is the most global fair to date with 85 participating galleries from 34 countries; more than 500 artists are participating in the gallery halls and across the not-for-profit programmes.

New for this year, the galleries are presented in three distinct programmes - Contemporary; the inagural Modern; and Marker - the curated section of invited art spaces and galleries focusing in 2014 on Central Asia and the Caucasus.

Here are some of my favorite artwork displayed this year:

Print on printed paper - the bigger picture

The words are shadows of the copper wires

Matt and Reflective Globes. Combined with the artwork in the back, you get a bigger picture.
Accident or Intentional?

A woman twirling in an abaya. Though the artwork is a series of 2D photographs, the details of each picture itself, combined with the shadows produced beneath it gives you a 3D effect that each twirl is happening at that moment.
The artist called this piece 'Paradise'. See anyone you recognize?

A physical object aligned with a photograph of the same object that is in turn aligned with a photograph of it

Waiting for something overdue maybe

Have you been to ArtDubai this year? What do you think of the art pieces here? Which one is your favorite?
