I've been waking up really early this passed week mainly due to a bad jet lag that I have from my last vacation! One thing I noticed in the mornings that the temperature has been dropping. I thought since my mobility is being limited by my desk work, I need to start making some time in my schedule to move those legs and hopefully loose those kilos!
So at around 8pm, I headed to Zabeel Park (A) as it has an approximately 2km track for pedestrians to use for jogging, running or even just walking. Its great really and I was happy to find a few Dubai-ans thinking along my thoughts as the mercury started dropping on the thermometer. What was a true shame is that I discovered I was completely out of shape! I ran the first 500m and I was already out of breath; and being the stubborn person I am; I decided I won't give up till the 1km mark and that's when I felt I probably will need an oxygen mask. I have taken a vow after this day to enhance my stamina and definitely run more than 1km ESPECIALLY after I was overlapped by a girl 3 times when I barely finished 1 lap!!!! No offence ladies! :)
Zabeel Park (A) isn't bad but I really expected a track more than just 2kms! Don't even bother to go to Zabeel Park (B) as the track there isn't even completed and I think its been like that for sometime now. Come on UAE, share your favorite jogging spots and start ditching the indoors for a more refreshing (and sweaty) outdoors...you know you like it hot :)
