Fellow blogger Tamara Jamal, along with myself, headed down yesterday to Al Serkal Avenue to check out the preview of this October's Fashion Forward - The Garden exhibition. For those of you who don't know what's this event is all about, Fashion Forward is one of Dubai's most prominent fashion platforms that nurtures and promotes local and regional designers.
Here's a video of what Tamara thought about yesterday's collection on display:
Tamara loved Maria Iqbal's bags! She loved the prints on the purses from the outside, as much as the design's simplicity from the inside. Her most favourite one was the below Lana Del Rey print purse.
Tamara also loved Somor's bracelet collection which mainly represent Arabic letters tied in a knot.
There were other products on display (as seen below) which are definitely also worth looking out for in the upcoming FFWD event which takes place from October 4 - 6 at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre. Online registration to the event at www.fashionforward.ae is highly recommended.
